Part 1
Orchestral recordings both in the concert hall and the studio to provide both ambient and dry mixes. Sections of 15, 10 and 5, along with solo strings were recorded. Schoep’s, B&K 4007, Neuman KM140, and Soundfield AMS 250 microphone pairs were used. The recordings were originally conducted to create the E-MU Virtuoso Orchestral Sound Module. Recently DSF has developed the source content into the new DSF Studio Orchestra!
Part 2
Some of the sessions to create various drum kits were recorded by top notch studio musicians. This is a few shots of one of the New York studios where we recorded the Gretsch, Pearl, Yamaha, & D&W kits, along with various percussion instruments. The final results are all included in DSF Acoustic Kits.
Part 3
The Tokyo recordings were recorded as source content for both the Creative General MIDI sound set and the E-MU Planet Earth World Sound Module. DSF has re mastered the source to create DSF Old World Instruments.
Part 4
We recorded one of the finest Steinway Grand Pianos in the San Francisco Bay area. The piano has been use on numerous recordings and is now available at the factory – DSF Platinum Grand.
